Sure have been a bunch of people going back to sleep lately, huh.

[Sora's usually a pretty upbeat kind of kid, and he's trying to not to look glum as he sits in a notably empty shack in Wyver.]

Sorry, I know a lot of people have already said that, I don't wanna sound like a broken record or anything. If anyone's been trying to get hold of Terra lately, he went back to sleep and it doesn't look like he's planning on waking up again anytime soon.

[That had been a sad discovery. While he's glad his new friend doesn't have to be awake and missing his friends anymore, it doesn't mean Sora doesn't miss him. He hasn't know him for very long, but in that short time he had been a good friend.

And on that thought... he takes a deep breath before adding:]

And Riku's sleeping again too, but I'm sure he's gonna wake up again real soon. You know Riku, he's never out of the picture for too long! He'll be awake again before anyone even misses him.

[Well that's just a lie, Sora misses him already.]

I just... y'know. Thought people should know.

[And then he forces a big smile onto his face as if he's not feeling completely alone and sad and tries to change the subject. Distraction tactic? What distraction tactic.]

Hey, it's not long to go 'til Halloween! Does anyone know where to get a good pumpkin from? It's not a proper Halloween without a pumpkin!

Because when he went asleep last time, before you woke up... he woke up again real soon afterwards.

[Perhaps... perhaps it's a dumb idea to try and bluff it out in front of Roxas. After all, they kind of know each other too well for that.

But that doesn't mean Sora's not going to try.]

I figure he's gonna wake up again any time now. Just watch.

[Roxas has no idea. And if Riku went to sleep not long ago, can it be a good thing for him to be asleep again? Why is Roxas asking himself questions he has no way of answering?]

Me? Nah. I'm fine. It's not like we haven't been apart before. At least I know he's safe up there. And, you know, he's with Kairi. And the others.

[And Sora's here in a hovel with a leaky roof.

[Kairi, who's asleep. At best he figures, she's having good dreams. At worst, she's not dreaming much of anything. Roxas knows better than maybe anyone that living your life asleep isn't that great.

But he won't say any of that, because he cares about Sora.]

[He looks a little surprised at that question.]

I guess. I don't have anywhere else to go, our house is here.

Hey! It is not.

[It totally is, but he's oddly fond of it.]

[But as he looks around... yeah. Yeah it kind of is a shack. With a leaky roof. And a makeshift door.]

[He looks away, just for a moment. If Sora wants to stay there, waiting for Riku, it's not like he can blame him.]

But sure. I guess that'd be simpler for when Riku wakes up.

Yeah. It seems like every time we get something fixed up, we find something else that needs work.

[As if on cue, there's a creaking sound offscreen and Sora looks over in its direction with mild alarm.]

...there goes the table.

[He cracks a smile. Maybe half of one.]

[Sora misses the half smile and looks like he’s on the verge of laughing or crying. It’s a close call.]

It’s not much of a home when there’s nobody else here, is it.

[Roxas doesn't answer that. He's...never had a home, not really; how would he know?

But he does know that there's a place he wants to be, and people he wants to be with.]

There's space here. We could share my room.

[Honestly, he's surprised at the offer. Surprised and touched.]

Are you kidding? Do you know how big a pain it is to go all the way to Wyver to hang out?

[Probably, because he has to go all the way to Olympia when it's the other way around. But Roxas does it anyway, because...he can't not. He thinks it might be the same for Sora.]

Yeah but you can corridor some of the way! I've gotta go the whole way on foot.

[But honestly, he's not about to argue.]

Well, you know, I don't wanna get in the way or anything...

[But he offers up a faint smile.]

[He rolls his eyes, but it's for show. He's smiling.]

I'll come by later to help you with your stuff. On the train, because using the corridors to go a block at a time doesn't help as much as you think it would.

[Not that he has all that much stuff anyway.]

It's gonna be great not having to travel so far to see each other.

[For a moment, he doesn't say anything, but something in his chest twists in a good way. It matters, that Sora thinks so too.]

Huh? No way! I don't snore!

[He thinks. He hopes. He's never actually seen or heard himself sleep.]

I dunno? I've never seen you—uh, I wouldn't know.

[He had seen him sleeping, once. Just for a few minutes.]
