It's going to be my birthday soon! August fourth, to be exact!

_{[Yes, hello. Sorry Nysa once again for being subjected to Diva. Here she is, the backdrop of her video one of the Nadril caves, (pre-lit thanks to the natives), which wouldn't be anything special if it didn't look so...warm. Diva's wearing nothing more than a simple white dress with blue accents and upon closer inspection at what's behind her there's green growing on the cave floor, along with what looks to be a hardy species of wildflower peeking out from various cracks in the rocky floor.]}

I'm going to be a hundred and seventy...um..._{[Yes, you heard her right.]} a hundred and seventy five? Maybe six or seven? I don't really know exactly but you can't fit that many candles on a cake so does it really matter?

_[Haha.]

Anyway! I found this really warm cave and I want to have a masquerade party in it! My lover helped me barter for food, instruments and even drinks! I also found an old record player with a few records, but I'm not sure how to use it...Surely someone can figure it out, no?

_{[And if you don't believe her - wait for it - she'll show off her hoard of goodies. There are indeed a few crates of food items, bottles of various types of alcohol and even what appears to be an old upright piano and a few acoustic guitars and one or two other unopened instrument cases. There also seems to be a box full of various fancy party masks as well. Yep, she wasn't joking.]}

I need singers, musicians, dancers, cooks, people who can mix drinks and others willing to do some heavy lifting! I have a box of decorations too so if you've an eye for decor I want your assistance as well!

Whoa! You're old, Diva! Is that part of your vampire charm?

Mhmm. I'm immortal, so I'll always look this way.

Kinda reminds me somebody from home. She's probably in one of those pods? [MAYBE? He looks off thoughtfully, but gets right back to it.] Anyway, she's over a thousand, but she's pretty much a little girl. I guess to a dragon, a thousand's just a flash in the pan.

But if you're IMMORTAL... does that mean other vampires think you're super young?

She's a dragon?! That's so cool!

_{[Sorry, give her a moment.]}

Well, I'm the oldest of my species, but to other vampires I've met I'm young.

Whoa. There are vampire species now? I thought you just turned if you got bit and that made you a generic vampire.

[Pardon him... there aren't any vampires in Plegia to speak of. Or Chiropterans, obviously.]

Oh no, you wouldn't turn into a Chiropteran if I bit you. There's more to turning someone than just that. I'm not so sure about other vampires though.

So you call yourself a Chiropteran? What makes that different from other vampires? Do you prefer different kinds of blood? Or is it just how you turn people?

[colorature]

Yep. Most people haven't heard of what a Chiropteran is though, so it's easier to tell them I'm a vampire.

_[Semantics.]

Well, some vampires I've met here aren't immortal. Others can only consume human blood - they can't eat food at all, which I think absolutely sucks. Some vampires can't go out in the sun either, but I can. I need to drink human blood to stay healthy but I can't deny I'm a glutton for blood in general.

As for turning humans, only myself and my sister can turn humans into other Chiropterans. To do so the human has to be almost drained entirely of their blood and on the verge of death. They're then given some of my blood and if they're lucky they live, now an immortal! If not, they die a painful death.

Whoa... who knew vampire species got to be so different from each other? I mean, it all comes down to sucking blood and turning humans, but I had no clue it got to have such gruesome detail. Neat! I'm no vampire, but I'm totally a glutton for blood, myself. Maybe not eating it, but I could watch blood run aaaall day long.

[He seems to have forgotten to care about the camera by this point in the conversation and is holding it a bit wonk-ways; it's his first time, let him live. At least he's fixed his attention on the screen to watch Diva; this much is evident by the way the camera crops him off so that just the top of his head is visible, but he's definitely looking forward.]

It's probably pretty neat to be able to eat normal food, though. Drinking blood all the time would be awesome, but I imagine it'd be pretty limiting.

You're that fond of blood, huh...

I love food. If anyone's a glutton it's me. I drink blood all the time though - even if I wanted to I'd never give it up. It just tastes so good!

[He laughs.]

Can't say I've ever had the inclination to drink the blood I spill, but I'll trust you! Just tastes kind of metallic and salty to me. Were you ever NOT a vampire? [WAIT... What was she called, now?] Um, Chiropteran? Just wondering if it tastes better after turning into one.

[colorature]

I was born a Chiropteran, but those I've turned like the taste better after they become vampires.

_{[That's her assumption anyway.]}

Then, maybe I could grow an appreciation for the taste of blood myself...! What's the catch to turning, anyhow?
