Hello, I wish to ask for a boat. How is the sea trade in this world? I know the world I used to live in is gone, but the storm did not take away my skills on navigation and sea travel. I grew up as a son of a crabber and became a smuggler, and then a knight. Still, I know more of the sea than I do of anything else.(( Sometimes. It's complicated. ))
I appreciate the help.
Thank you,
Davos Seaworth

all the fog around the island means that nobody can sail past it and nobody ever has
i wanted to do that too
my dads a ship captain back home and i grew up in a fishing village so
im pretty comfortable on the ocean
but everyone tells me you cant get past the fog

I am sorry to hear it. So you can't even travel along the coast for travel?no subject
but you just cant sail away from the island

I am sorry to hear that. I have hoped to put some of my old trades to some good use and employment, but it appears that's not the case.no subject

It's good to hear you're awake, ser Davos. [ Jon never made mention of his advisor's awakening--did he know? ] Have you spoken with Jon yet? He walks these lands, as well.
As for the boat, I've not seen a port for you to take advantage of, but that means little. I imagine there are neutral territories we've not yet heard of who use the sea to their advantage.

Briefly. I am afraid we had some confusion of a Davos he knew that I am certain I am not.(no subject)

[ he is mostly curious and hardly angry. yet the text has a habit of making all seem as though he is yelling at them. ]

Mostly to make do on a honest trade, Your Grace. Before I was a smuggler I've learned of my father's crabbing.(no subject)

There is none.
[ Asha would have said if there were ports or sea trade to take advantage of. She wanted to build a boat and sail beyond that fog. Victarion likely would have wanted the same. All Theon wants is to remain Theon Greyjoy, but he can’t help but feel a pang of jealousy that this man should know more of the sea than a Greyjoy of Pyke. It still hurts that all of that was stripped from him. ]
They've landlocked you without truly doing so. They don’t want to risk the chance of you escaping.

What is there to escape to? The worlds we once called home are gone.

Perhaps trading, or fishing. Even crabbing. The trades of the sea I know well.(no subject)

If there was, maybe I could get the pirate on my couch out of the house more often.

I was afraid of that. I can learn a new trade here if I must, but I prefer to the sea. Perhaps one day the fog will lift.(no subject)

No, but thank you.
Pirates is hard enough as it is, and I heard the stories of krakens drowning ships.

I am glad to see you here, for my brother's sake. I am not certain what all he's told you about the oddities of this place, but I am glad he has a friend in you.
Or at least he did, as far as I know and remember. Stannis and I have some differing memories of Westros.
Yours,
Renly Baratheon
