what if we just
got a big boat and sailed across the horizon
what do you think wed find there

weve been on this island for so long
just this tiny little island
there has to be more than wyver and olympia right?
this world is a big planet

if wyver and olympia are having problems
why dont we just try to leave?

I’m not sure I would make a good sailor. Come to that I know no shipwrights either, I think.

Is everything all right, Miss You?

[aside from worrying about the obvious, of course]

Well, that depends on whether it is a permanent go-ing, or just an exploration. I wouldn't blame them exactly, but I think I might have something to say about it if a fair chunk of our population simply upped sticks and left!

This is good to know. I haven't seen or heard much from you since Valentin...

[and doesn't that feel like a lifetime ago...?]

It comes much belated, but thank you, for all of your work.

It was a lovely evening, yes, and very kind of you to organise.

What is idk?
inaurare: (Headtilt)

I'm sorry.

I understand.

[he doesn't. Why say it, then?]

When you find out, will you tell me?

Oh.

[excuse him a moment scrolling up to check over the comment in question with his newly-acquired vocabulary. It... has absolutely no bearing on the sentence at all...]

Well, it would be good indeed if the sailing party could come back and tell us what they had found.

Perhaps. But it would be good, still, to see you safe.

Maybe? I'm not sure how it works.

And we have seen that it isn't always... stable.

I suppose there is no harm in asking.

It might be worth being cautious with the technology - but perhaps that is just me.

It would be important to be sure you can come and go by traditional means, too. Perhaps there are ways to set up a more permanent means of transportation? Like a ferry, if it isn't too far?

I'm not totally against the whole idea. But it is in my nature to be cautious - I was trying to be... less so.

As you say, you would want to look at making it easier to get there and back, right?

There is no harm raising it, I’m sure. And it may certainly be possible to call on the talents of others.

It is, but it is still bigger than what I was used to.

I only saw a small part of my own country, never mind even leaving its borders.

I have never travelled.

[...how to put this?]

I wasn't able to.
