Tell me I'm not the only one that feels like this is some lame attempt to gather certain people into a specific area for an unknown reason, aka, a fucking trap?

And as far as some kind of... compensation for the shit some people went through, this feels pretty weak to me. An invite to a trap-party, a gold coin, and a pretty little bauble, because clearly I'm that easily distracted and easy to appease. They realize that people died during this, don't they? And we're all supposed to just slap a smile on, pull out a dress, and go along with this like this isn't a giant fucking joke?

Maybe it's just in my nature to think everyone's out to screw me over, but when I've already been screwed over, and not in the fun way, I'm not exactly feeling inclined to bend over for round two. There have to be other people that think this is shady shit...

I'll take the bauble but I'm definitely not taking anything else. Forget that, the last time I went to one of their parties I had to deal with everyone being angry at me for daring to exist in Olympia's territory.

But we weren't the only people that went to that. There were a lot of natives at that thing as well. So why was it only the refugees that got nabbed this time?

When I was being "interrogated", it seemed like the Shaman - or at least the ones they had beating everyone up - thought the refugees knew something because of their movements between Wyver and Olympia. Though honestly I got the feeling that they didn't know what the hell they were looking for and just grabbed the group that stood out the most at the time.

Pretty sure 'doesn't know what they're doing' was the theme of the whole goddamn thing. They kept asking me about royal shit, and the closest I've come to royalty is some midget emperor of a world that doesn't exist anymore. Not sure that was what they wanted to hear.

Yeah, beats me too. They sure went through enough work to catch us and then they just squandered it being morons. That seems to be the name of the game around here though.

[That was part of what bugged her, too. Catching all of them, and some of them being powered, like herself, and keeping them somewhere had taken a concerted effort to do it all at once. These guys hadn't been the sharpest tools in the shed, not able to tell that none of the people they had were worth interrogating. So that led to who might actually be behind it all.

Really, I trust very few of the people in charge here or the ones with much power. That includes the Natha. Not that I think they had anything to do with this but if the locals are like this, whose to say they won't change their mind too at some point.
