I do as I'm asked and he looks at the bodies and figures out the gist of what happened in about 30 seconds.

Got shot. I'm a doctor, so it put me out of commission. I was invalided home.

I'm sorry to hear it
Recovered, mostly. Scar tissue and occasional pain, but I'm otherwise in one piece and fully operational.
