Funnily enough, yeah. Usually not quite on the scale we've been witnessing over the last few days, but yeah. Somewhat attached to the job description

Detective. Sort of. Assistant detective. Detective's aide.

is there much of a difference between a detective and a detective's aide?

I do as I'm asked and he looks at the bodies and figures out the gist of what happened in about 30 seconds.

He's got a habit of getting into trouble. I like to make sure he gets out of it alright

Got shot. I'm a doctor, so it put me out of commission. I was invalided home.

Recovered, mostly. Scar tissue and occasional pain, but I'm otherwise in one piece and fully operational.

[ there's the rest of it, the nights, but there's always the rest of it. it's not something that needs a mention ]
