Been a little quiet lately. Like the calm before one big shitstorm. With Wyver and Olympia only playing nice in public, anyone who went to the gala can attest there's still bad blood.

Maybe it's pettiness — politicians tend to be like that.

But, I'm not here to recycle the same shit everyone else is saying. So, I'll be blunt: don't get enchanted with either of them. Use 'em like they use their citizens, stay safe and adjust as much as you can — but getting starry-eyed over your new "home" could get you on the wrong side of conflict.

If you're looking to make cash and toe the morally gray line as much as possible, hit me up. I'm the one responsible for wasting parchment paper for all those jobs in the cities.

I refuse to die on this hill over someone else's problems. So, I'll toast to that when we have our drink.

My problem is making sure no one innocent suffers because of political egos and making sure I get paid nicely for it.

I have a skill of finding money, don't worry. It's gotten me pretty well off so far.

Still, you seem used to all of this. Was this kind of thing common where you're from?

Common enough. I did mercenary work back home, got mixed up in politics and I hated it. Got out as soon as shit got bad and people needed someone who wasn't going to throw them under the bus for their own agenda.

Seems like war and politics is the only constant in all the worlds we come from.
I'd say it's good we've got experience dealing with it, but...
At least we can look out for the people who don't.

It's some term someone used. Sounds cool. Something about following someone without question.

I'm offering jobs. Always have, always will. That's it.

How funny... The way people speak in other worlds is pretty fascinating!
Offering jobs is one way to help, but it's not going to stop a war.
I hope together we can find a way to do that, too.
