[When the video turns on, You is standing next to a wooden box, about the size of a large microwave oven, her hand resting on its top. She seems to be in the marketplace of Olympia.

She waves at the camera.] Hi~!

So, this place has months that are pretty much just like the ones on Earth, right? Which means that we're coming up on a very special holiday: Valentine's Day! Seriously, it's right around the corner!

If you don't have it where you're from, Valentine's Day is a holiday all about love, and romance, and celebrating the people you love! [There's the slightest of pauses. She frowns a little bit.] Actually, to tell the truth, it's a little bit different in Japan, but-- but that's not important right now! The important thing is, it's almost here!

And I know that since we're all still uprooted from home, it's probably really lonely to spend Valentine's Day by yourself. Sooooo... I'm gonna find everyone a match! [She beams at the camera, using her thumbs and fingers to form a heart-shape in front of her chest. It's honestly kinda precious.

She breaks the heart shape to tap the top of the wooden box.] Seriously, I'm gonna do it! I've got a box set up in Olympia, and one set up in Wyver, and you can fill out the form and put it in the box, and I'll go full-speed-ahead at finding you a perfect match! And, we'll all have a big dinner party with your new date!

[Another pause. Her expression turns sheepish.] Actually, if anyone wanted to help chip in money for that... renting the place is gonna be really expensive...

--but yeah, you should sign up! It's going to be great!

Yeah, that's the idea! I'm gonna rent a big dinner place and have like, a big party for all the couples!

[She seems very, very excited by this.] Are you gonna sign up then, Miss Isabela?

I never knew you were such a romantic. It's a little sweet to see you doing so much for people, but it must be a lot of work. You aren't doing it all alone are you?

[She's a little concerned, but she laughs anyway at the girl's eager question.] I think I'll do it, throw my name into the hat. I'm far from a romantic, but if it's left to chance I can't help but be curious of who my match will be.

Oh... yeah, it's just me! [She says with a little nod.] It's a lot of work, but that's okay! Like, I can't really do a lot to help out anywhere else, you know? I can't fight or anything like that... so I'm gonna help with stuff like this!

Besides, something like this is really romantic, so that's important! [She smiles at the camera.] Maybe you'll meet someone you really fall for, haha! I'll do my best to find a match for ya, cap'n!

It certainly sounds like quite the task, but if your heart is in it I'm sure it'll go well for you. [Her smile softens just a little at that.] Oh sweet thing. You don't need to fight, you do more than enough in boosting everyone's morale with things like this. I don't have a lot either in terms of money, but I'll at least help out giving a little of it to you.

It's been a long time since I've given a romance a shot. [And in truth, she likes it that way. But she just gives another soft laugh and an affectionate smile You's way instead.] I don't know if I'll find the right person, but no matter who I get I'm sure it'll be exciting. Especially in your trusty hands. Make sure they're really handsome or super pretty for me, won't you?

Haha, it's okay! I know that we've all got what we're good at, right? And this is... this is just mine! I'm gonna make sure everyone's in high spirits-- especially when things are so tense, y'know?

[You practically beams down at the camera.] I'll give you the handsomest or the prettiest!

Uh, you're okay with, uh, both then?

You're right, things have been getting far too serious around here lately. If anyone can bring a smile to the long faces around here it'll be thanks to that contagious determination of yours. [She gives a nod at that.] And not to mention the way you're cleverly playing to your strengths will make you a great leader in the future.

It's never really made any difference to me, one side over the other. I'm a bit shallow in how important looks can be to me, but if they're my type it matters little if they're a man or a woman.

[She chuckles to herself, resting her cheek in her hand as she gives an amused look back.]

Are you surprised?

[Isabela may not be able to see it, but You is blushing a little, looking more than a little flustered.

She really doesn't handle praise well at all.] W-well, you know... thanks! Ah, I'm just gonna do my best, haha. I hope it turns out well!

Um, and it doesn't surprise me, really. [She sounds honest about that.] I guess I just don't know a lot of people who... well, I'm still kinda young, so...

I don't really talk about it with my friends much, that's all.

I'm sure it will. If anyone gives you a hard time though, you come to me alright? I don't know how it is over there compared to here in Wyver, but it's a sweet thing you've got planned.

[She smiles, seeing You get all flustered. It's not like she was lying after all, the girl had promise and a refreshing excitement about her.]

It's far from a big deal, as least where I was before all of this. [Or at least, she'd never heard any complaints about it beyond the usual fare.] You aren't the first to be surprised by it though.

The way I see it is, well. Women are pretty aren't they? With their soft curves and sharp wit. And men, they can be pretty handsome too right, with their muscles and charming demeanor. I'm sure plenty of people out there have it in them to prefer one over the other, but I can be a greedy person. [The blessing and curse of pirate life.] What's the harm in appreciating both?

[She nods.] I think there's a few people who aren't super thrilled about taking people from Wyver for a night, but, uh, we're still paying them so I think that's more important to them at this part. --I'll come to you if I need anything, promise!

[She's quite content to let Isabela talk about herself for a bit. In fact, it's something she kind of understands.]

Yeah. I... I see what you mean, you know? There's a lot of pretty people in this world!

I don't, uh, really know what I like myself, yet. Maybe it's both, too?

At least money is universal. I think they'll manage just fine as long as the price is right. [She laughs.] You better. You know I've no problem to step in for any issues if you need me.

[The topic is one she hardly ever gives thought to, but her experience in basically having...no preference at all gives her some ground to stand on just talking about it.]

Exactly! And there's something to admire and appreciate about all of them. I couldn't possibly hold myself from the possibility just because they're the same as me or not.

I highly doubt you need bother to rush with that, you're still young after all. Just go with what feels right to you and pay no mind to the details. Who knows? [She grins.] Maybe you'll find a sweetheart of your own during it too, or at least a crush to fancy over.

Oh jeez, I don't even know if I want to think about that! [She says with a nervous half-laugh.] Like...

...okay, back home I went to a girl's school, right? So I really only ever knew other girls, I didn't know a lot of guys. But guys and girls are supposed to be together most of the time, so I guess I never, uh, really thought twice about... [She trails off, having kind of lost her point.]

--anyway, I'm not rushing or anything like that! I've only ever kissed someone once, you know?

Makes sense. I hadn't thought about women either myself until I was able to set out on my own. You only need just the right one that's just your type to cross you path, and I think by then it becomes more than obvious if that's what you're into. Try not to think on it too much, just let what happens happen.

[She doesn't suggest her method of figuring out what works because it's absolutely not meant for virgin ears. And, speaking of-]

Only the once? No wonder you get so flustered so easily over anything even slightly suggestive. [She laughs, but the smile she gives You is a fond one instead of mocking.] It's cute I promise! I actually almost envy you a little, you only experience that sort of outlook to romance and intimacy only once in a lifetime. Savor it while you have it, rushing will only make you lose that too soon. Not to mention you're young, so just have fun with figuring it out.

[It is not remotely a judgmental or teasing look that she catches from Isabela, but it still makes You feel... young. And a little naive. This lady is so worldly and experienced, and she's... not.

Is that what you get from sailing the world?] Yeah, it was just the one time. And we were, uh, kinda... drunk? Like, not drunk drunk, but we both had this weird stuff to drink and-- [She coughs. It's embarrassing.] --but he's a really great guy so it wasn't weird or anything!

[Maybe a little.]

But like you said, I'm still kinda young, so...
