[ It's late, and, save for the one source of light, it's quite clearly dark out. For a moment, there's not even any sound on the video apart from what trickles in from the late Wyver crowd on the street. Loras opens his mouth several times before he finally decides on which words to say. ]

My sister's decided to leave. That is, returning to stasis. I'll never fault her for any choice she makes. She's always thought things through completely before acting. I'm not entirely certain how I'll manage without her, really, and it's already very strange.

I suppose, mostly, I wanted to let everyone know. I know that she has many friends and I've no idea if she's spoken of this to many, if anyone at all. In case you began to wonder what's become of her. I've got faith that she'll return again when the time is right.

[ There's another lull of silence before the video ends. ]

[ A muzzle moves into frame, resting on Vex's arm. A very large muzzle. ]

Oh yes, I suppose you can call him that. This is Trinket.

[triplerose]

And what is Trinket?

[moneytwin]

He's a bear, of course.

[ Of course.

Said bear clearly recognises his name, and pushes his face further into frame, snuffling in query. ]

See?

[triplerose]

Of course.

[ Sorry, all he'd seen was a giant background of fur. ]

[moneytwin]

[ The muzzle pushes right up to the camera, momentarily blacking it out, and soft fussing can be heard in the muffled background. It doesn't last long, though the bear looks confused (as much as a bear can, anyway), while Vex scolds him affectionately. ]

--ery nice, but you can't lick it, buddy.

Sorry about that! Do you have any pets yourself?

[ It's actually a bit funny. Loras knows of bears, of course, but he's never come across one until now. He'd never have thought them to be the pet-sort. ]

No, not at all. In Westeros I had a horse, though I'm not sure she could be counted as a pet.

[moneytwin]

[ Typically they're really not. But little is typical about Vex's adoption of her "stolen" trinket. She does grin at Loras though, rubbing the bear's muzzle affectionately. ]

Horses do tend to be more of a work animal than a pet where I am from, I suppose that's the same for you?

Not that they can't be lovely.

I suppose I would say she was more of a partner than anything else. She never failed me in a jousting match.

[moneytwin]

A very good partner, then! Did you train her yourself?

[triplerose]

Of course. Well, with some help. I'm no trainer but it was important to me that I had a hand in it.

[moneytwin]

Have to build that trust with her from the start. I understand completely.

[She rubs Trinket's muzzle affectionately.]

So, did you only joust? Or was she also good for hunting?

[triplerose]

She went everywhere with me. Now that we've been talking about her, I hadn't realized how much I've missed her.

[moneytwin]

[Oops? Though you know...]

Hmm. Well, I was able to negotiate with our gracious Hosts to get Trinket back. [well, sort of] You could speak with them directly and see if she was rescued from the Storm as well.

[triplerose]

I suppose one day I might. Thank you.

[softly] I know a horse is no replacement for a sister, or a brother, but even the smallest balm can make ease such distance, if only temporarily.
