( video - un: blacksquadron ) all the stars are laying at our feet

[ the video clicks on to a soft beep that ends in a worried trill, the sound mechanical and still managing to seem hushed. for a moment, the camera swings around, then it steadies, showing poe dameron in workout gear, hands and ankles taped, pummeling a punching bag. it's clear he knows what he's doing. it's equally clear that he's unhappy about something.

poe is clearly unaware of the video; this is bb-8's way of trying to get poe some company and comfort. there's a series of beeps that indicates as much, to anyone who understands binary.

eventually, poe stops, steadying the bag (and himself) and then glances at bb-8 -- and the comms device bb-8 is still pointing at him. poe runs a hand through his hair. ]

What're you doing that for, BB?

[ another series of noises from bb, i'm worried and maybe you shouldn't be alone right now. poe shakes his head, crossing the distance to bb-8 and holds out a hand. ] I'm all right, buddy. Give that here.

[ when bb-8 does, the video cuts off. ]

[ there's a small delay as roxy considers this. before now, she hadn't really thought about the possibility of anyone going back into stasis, or the reasons why anyone would. ]

I'm sorry to hear that. Did something happen to them?

i don't think so. she's not the first one to go back in for no apparent reason.

So this is somewhat of a common occurrence, then? Generally speaking. I assume, but the degree of your frustration, that there was no warning...

not common, but it does happen. at least as far as i can tell.

[ it's pointless to ask if he's tried asking the appropriate people why his friend may have gone back into stasis, and if they know how long she's expected to remain there, because anyone as visibly affected by a loss of a friend as poe seemed to be has more than likely already sought out anyone who might be able to give him answers, and presumably, come back with nothing.

still, she considers asking anyway, even if, in the end, she decides it's better not to. ]

[ poe looks down at his hands -- the muscles of his arms are trembling with the exertion even now, minutes later. he may have overdone it, but -- ]

yeah. at least a little
doesn't change anything, but it helps to get some of the frustration out
