Maybe this is a bad time?

[When Dylas starts the audio feed, he’s already not sure if he wants to do this. What a follows is a long sigh before he actually begins speaking in earnest.]

Hey. I know everyone’s sick. It’s pretty bad. I’m sure you all know some of the symptoms, but maybe you guys have been feeling something else, too? Something happened to me last month. Er, has been...happening.

[There’s a long, uncomfortable pause. He doesn’t know what he’s doing.]

I mean, maybe your body is changing. Doing things it couldn’t before. Maybe...being more sensitive. Maybe you’re noticing something different about yourself that you didn’t before? Something that doesn’t line up with the symptoms? If that happens, you should talk to the Orbiters. [Another pause. Ugh. He hates doing this, seriously.] They can apparently change our bodies without asking. They, uh. Can give us things that weren’t there before.

[He’s clearly not wanting to go into any details. Or maybe it’s not clear. He’s just this deep, masculine voice who sounds sort of confused about how to address large groups.]

So if you start feeling weird outside of the sickness or weren’t sick before, it might be that your body is going through new changes.

[Another long pause.]

It’s not puberty. I’ve already done that.

If anything, my skills are... a bit dulled as of late.

Really? If I could track by scent, my job would be easier at times.

Ah, I misspoke. Perhaps "senses" would be more... accurate. I simply don't feel as alert as I usually do.

I can't track anyone like that. I'm not a wolf. I guess if someone were hiding in my room, I might be able to smell their shampoo?

[So help him, he's never going to attempt to smell anything on someone other than their shampoo.]

...Not as alert, huh? You sick or something?

I see. I suppose without direction, a sense of smell like that is truly just a hindrance.

[ he really does seem into this shampoo idea though. ]

A minor cold, at most. I don't think it has anything to do with... everything else happening.

It's not completely without direction. It's just...how am I even supposed to explain this?

[This is so frustrating. He hopes everyone gets cursed with weird nose abilities. That'd show 'em.]

Oh, yeah? How're you so sure?

[For some reason, he sounds more annoyed than he did before.]

If it's something new to you, perhaps over time you'll grow more accustomed to it.

My symptoms are... less severe than those I've seen in others.

[ though that's more due to this strong constitution than anything else. ]

Grow more accustomed to explaining it? I'll pass. I can only talk about my nose for so long.

[He scoffs. If Siegfried meant growing more accustomed to the senses shifting, he either missed it or doesn't want to keep talking about it. Maybe both.]

That's great. [Deadpan.] Where are you right now?

[He's going to send someone on a house call, so help him.]
