hello.
today, i got to wondering:
what kind or thoughtful thing has someone done for you recently?

what for?
[It doesn't, and can't quite in the same way it might for humans, occur to her that her questions might read as cold or prying. She's merely trying to understand better.]

I'm sick. More in the terminal than the manflu sense of the world. And while you do get used to the parade of daily humiliations a failing body tends to inflict, there are still one or two with the power to shame. For example when your leg works well enough to get you to the bathroom, but taps out before it'll get you back.

i'm abled, but even when i fall down, it makes my skin hot.
especially, if someone points it out, and says,
"you should watch where you're going!"
or, "what are you thinking about in that empty head of yours?"
[This is intended to comfort him, somehow. It's not the same kind of falling, but it's still falling, and at least he has more reason to possibly fall down than she does. At least you aren't falling because you have moments of stupidity, like me, is what she's getting at—lighthearted.]
still, while i can understand the why of it,
i don't think you should have to feel ashamed.
from hearing you could take yourself into the bathroom, sounds to me
like you're probably proud and like to try things on your own,
and you might've fallen down on the way back, but effort, that's worth a great deal.
it's not nothing, you know.
even if your legs might disagree with you some of the time.
forgive me, i'm typing too much and it takes awhile.
in any case, seventeen people is quite a lot.
i hope they were warm to you.
