That he most certainly is. I try. However, I'm not certain I'll ever repay the debts I owe him.

one thing that could help is to try to stop viewing what he does for you as "debts." a good person will not want you to feel you owe them anything.

if you did a kind favor for him, you wouldn't want him to feel obligated to pay you back either, right?

i feel tenderly toward most everyone; there are rarely exceptions, but it's true that some have hung themselves on my heart a little more tightly.

two best friends are still asleep.
i made a newer best friend here, however.
he is a bit of a cactus around people, but he gets soft with me, and it makes me feel special.
like i'm doing a good job offering him a safe feeling.

he may not be happy if he knows i've insinuated he's less of a cactus around me, though. i hope he won't be sour if he sees!

Hmm. I haven't really thought of thing quite in that manner. You're absolutely correct in that. And no I would hate to think that he would feel obligated for anything.
