Hellooooooooooooooooooooo Nysans!
Nysans? El Nysans? El Nysonians? I don't know. Weird, this new planets lark, I'm out of practice, it's been a while. New planets! Fun!
Anyway. Hello. Occurred to me just now, and by just now I mean I'm bored and it's occurred to me before but I've been storing it up for an opportune moment, that there's a lot of you to whom I still haven't introduced myself! And since introducing myself can sometimes be a bit of a palaver, I'm going to go ahead and get through as many of you as I can with this one quick broadcast. Right. Here we go. Ready? Ready.
[ here, the stupid strange-faced bowtie-wearing man with the big grin who's staging a brief (I say brief...) takeover of your screens and attention takes a deeeeeep breath. rubs his hands together!!! grins again, and— ]
Hi! Hello. I'm the Doctor. Yes, the Doctor, not a doctor, though I'm one of those too, in many disciplines, none of them medical. Can still probably save you from losing a leg if I can get my hands on the right alien tech, though. Bit of a jack of all trades. Space and time travelling alien, to get that bit out of the way while we're at it. Two hearts. Legs. Okay? Okay.
While I'm here, let's play a getting to know you game. Yeah? [ a pause, in which he's waiting for an answer that he— apparently receives? from who, your guess is as good as mine. ] Hah hah. Yeah. Good. Getting to know you through the age old medium of word association! This is either going to be great fun or get very boring very quickly, so we'll see how it goes. It's the extended edition, rules are slightly different: for every word you give, you have to explain the link from the last one. However obvious.
Ready? Okay. Here we go. I'll give you a few choices for a starter. ... Train, story, sun, space, fashion, smile, or hope.
And we're off!
[ and he's... also off. (thank God????) good luck nysa... ]

[Unless it was a big box?]
You mean like a pod?
If you know other worlds, then have you been here before?
no subject
Ah. No, not this one. Never visited here before. Brand new planet for me, this one.

[Unless he was some sort of madman...but then, he was talking to someone from another world.]
A new world, aye. What do you make of it?
[Someone who has seen so many others might at least have insight that he didn't.]
Do you think we can trust them?

Well. The planet itself is well established. The echoes of wars and rivalries don't bode well, but they don't have any reason in particular to be a problem for us specifically provided we don't go blabbing about the big space station in the sky. We're refugees, they've welcomed us in, I doubt they've any set agenda.
That said, when there are governments in place, the answer to a question of trust always seems to be the dodgy thing of "I suppose we'll have to just wait and see." Same as any citizen, really.

It seems they have seen their fair share of refugees. It's not the Olympians that have me wondering about their motives. It's the others, the ones that brought us here.
We've pledged to help the Olympians in any case. We don't have any reason not to trust them. You are right on that. We have to prepare ourselves if something does happen though.
[A beat.]
I'm Jon Snow.

As far as the Orbiters go, I'm sure they're perfectly aware of all our doubts.
[ it's a subtle warning of sorts. the Doctor doesn't think for a minute that something as powerful as Darma and associates seem to be won't have some kind of finger on the pulse of the people they've brought here - and what easier pulse to keep track of than the back and forth of ideas and conversations shared over devices granted by their humble saviours themselves. ]
Though I haven't found any reason to be overly suspicious of them. Their story checks out with the evidence in their observation deck. Which, in fairness, could well be tampered with to suit their ends, but I don't believe so.

[But he stopped talking once the subtle warning set in. He nodded, silently acknowledging was was being shared between them before following the shifting conversation. This wasn't the time and he was right, it was possible that they were listened through the devices they were given.]
It isn't as though we would find much information about them in Olympia.
