There is much to be done, and plenty skills that would be of use.

The ground will need to be leveled, if if is to return to its former state. Beyond that, the labor will be immense — anyone willing to keep up fires, food for the weary, refreshment as it is needed, would be welcome.

( no need to be lifting overly much for most of those. the digging, though, maybe. )
