[A man sits in front of the camera fidgeting awkwardly, his cheeks are a shade of pink and he seems a bit nervous as he sits in front of the screen. Who could blame him really? It looked like they were all once again in a bit of a chaotic situation.

But this was different, although it very much had to do with the fact that the moon was descending upon them and the threat of the storm slowly approaching, this also had to do with something else entirely.]

So it looks like we're all in a bit of trouble again, huh? Although, heh, I guess this is a bit more serious than most of what we've ever experienced in the past.

I guess when you think about it in context like that, it's only natural that sometimes people make dumb impulsive decisions... I mean, it kind of makes you realize that you never know when it may all just, well, end.

Right?

Right.

I guess, what I mean to say is that I may be just that person to have made a spontaneous and impulsive decision upon suddenly facing my own mortality, and... well...

Does anyone know of anybody who has skills in officiating weddings!? I know there have been a few ceremonies with us Thessans in the past but I really don't know anyone who can do this! So any help in trying to figure this all out I would super appreciate it!

[With that sudden exclamation his face went bright red, his body tense as he quickly bowed forwards.

Only to bump his head into the camera and causing it to fall onto the floor.]

[Annie's eyes are wide and she's almost smiling. It's hiding there behind the shock but.

T-thanks... I mean, truthfully I can't even believe I said it myself. It just sort of happened?

That's amazing. I can't-- I can't imagine two people who deserve that kind of happiness more.

[And it's true, though she now wonders if they want a roommate with their wedded bliss.]

I don't know. Part of me can't help but think that I may just be rushing into this without thinking. But the other part of me just can't help but think 'if not now, then when?' You know?

[It shouldn't be too bad right? Despite dating for only a few months they've been close for most of their lives. It shouldn't be too different from how they've already been living.

Oh don't say that now, if you open yourself up like that me and Miles will probably start asking you for all sorts of favors while trying to figure this out.

Well, like I said if we want this to even happen there's a ton of things we need to do, even for a small ceremony. Like, we still need to find an officiant, and then there's the case of finding rings and gathering a few witnesses at least...

Man, it's kind of overwhelming to think about considering we don't even know when it may all come crashing down around us but... I guess that's why I want to do this all the more?

Who knows if I'll ever even get the opportunity otherwise.

He's been awake for a while now. Truthfully I feel like he's one of the few things that has kept me grounded since I woke up here.

[That and the occasional glass of prime Olympian grape juice.]

Bible passages are fine by me, he's not really the religious type but I'm sure he'd be fine with it so long as it's a nice little ceremony. You're really willing to offer your services? I know it's fairly last minute considering what we're all going through.

Ah, you really think it would be that easy? I can't really imagine that many people showing up what with all that's going down and the fact that as or recently we've been keeping fairly to ourselves.

[Doesn't help that so many people keep disappearing.]

All we really need is three people at most, an officiant and two witnesses, right? And I at least think I can get together that much.

I'll be a witness, and yes. One other. I asked Miles, but if I'm allowed a plus-one, that can be your other witness, unless you have someone in mind.

[He chuckled.]

Isn’t that a conundrum, I don’t think one will be needed for such a small affair but can bring one if you wish.

That's what your maid of honor does. Helps with decisions like flowers. [She gives a shrug.] When my sister Danielle got married, I was her maid of honor. It's like riding a bicycle.

[He gets a smile.] When the men I'd choose for my date are getting married? I was mostly teasing.

[Though, she supposes there's always Rodney.]

Well, I’m so happy I have someone experienced in this to help because quite frankly I have no idea what I’m doing... Thank you Annie.

You know sometimes I’’m not certain when you’re teasing or not. You should really play Phoenix in poker. I would like to see him thrown off his high horse.

[Spolken like a man who always loses to him in the game]

[She laughs as she says it and then shakes her head.]

If you wonder if I'm serious, though, you can always ask, Miles. And I'm here to help. That's my job.

[He paused for a second, taking a moment to think things over.]

But that doesn't mean you can't bring in a plus-one. As much as I want this to be a thing to satisfy any regrets I may have while the world literally crashes and burns around us, I also want everyone to enjoy themselves as much as possible. No sense that people don't try their best to enjoy themselves while we all face our possible demise head-on.

[Goodness this whole 'might die due to the moon crashing down' thing felt oddly liberating!]

I don't know that I would call it a service. I would say words, and then words become symbols that mean something to some people.

But I would give you word symbols, if that would make your union feel right and proper.

Truthfully that's all we could hope for. We just want to make the moment something special and memorable. Something to off-put all that is happening around us.

Oh now, now, I'm not that smooth of a person to start match-making for others. His name is John, he's helped me with, well, quite a lot of things actually.

[Despite the sassy attitude he had gotten the entire way through, Phoenix likes to consider him a pretty good friend.]

As for our previous history well, I doubt he needs to know about that... He already has enough reasons to make fun of me.

[He's still trying to live down that embarrassing moment with the harnesses... Please don't do that to him Annie.]

Anyway! [Change of subject!] You're really up for it? Unfortunately, we don't have much in way of funding, but if you want to go down that route I am happy to put in as much as I can.

John was mentioning maybe heading out to a bar or something afterward since the entire thing is such a small ceremony. I suppose it all depends on how the city's doing by the time we get this all underway as well.

Olympia is covered in fog after all, and things seem to be much worse down south.

I suppose the better we get this all figured out the better.

Ahah, yeah... I am too. I don't have much from my own world here, but I do have him, and that's more than many people. It's because of that that I'm so grateful. We both experienced a lot together, but we grew a lot together because of it too.

Did you, sorry if this is personal, but did you ever have anyone from your own world wake up here?

A friend. A very good friend. Like family. A big sister. But she's asleep again.

I miss her, but at least I'm not alone. I have new friends. Can't replace them, but at least it's better than loneliness.

I don't have a special someone. Not like you and your almost husband.

I'm really sure I want to do that, Nick.

Still, often times friends are just as important.

I'm glad that you've managed to make so many close ones here. I feel like every time I've made an attempt so many of them were just as quick to leave. But at least I always had Miles.

[It had always felt odd for him. Before he had come to El Nysa he was able to accumulate so many close friends. But these days he felt like he was often losing just as many people as he had become close to.]

I hope you get to see this almost-sister of yours again some day.
