[ It's not so inaccurate; what he knows of Earth is little compared to Narnia, but he left London when he was ten years old, and when the country was in midst of a great world war. Fairytales, legends, and myths were not at the forefront of his mind, and it might never be unless he ends up reading it in a book.

But photography? He knows that, if only because he remembers a portrait of his father that he once raced with save before their house and the entirely of London were bombed by the Germans.

I would think that it's an incredibly difficult angle to do, unless you have a mirror or incredibly clear water.

[ Cameras in the 1940s are not that high-tech. ]
