[He had heard the news of the kidnappings and, despite not wishing to think the worst, he couldn't keep fighting off the sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach. He knew others were going out to look for and rescue all those they could find, but his own nerves were only causing his thoughts to spiral.
He felt useless.]
I just wish to start off by thanking all of you who have gotten together to help aid both Olympia and Wyver in finding those who were taken. As someone who is currently unsure if someone he knows was one of those people, you have every ounce of my gratitude.
None the less I'm positive I am not the only one fretting in all of this. So many refugees were involved that it's easy to assume we are the group that's being most directly targeted in all of this. And I am also sure that I am not the only one who feels absolutely useless here despite the measures being taken. Back home I was never one to sit around and watch things happen, and yet here in El Nysa I feel as if I really have no say in the matter. I'm not strong, at least not enough that I can take on anyone in a fight. I have no abilities or magic that could help in the process of hunting people down. But still that urge to participate, to help in some way, nags at me.
Which is why I wish to get together some people, people who wish to help but don't know how.I have been spending much of this month gathering and sorting through medical supplies while helping Olympia out after the raids. I am going to place in a request for some of those supplies the moment any of the kidnappees are found and I wish to spend my time helping them recover.
I'd greatly appreciate anyone who is willing to help with this as I still have quite a bit to learn myself. And I believe every person who offers help, no matter how little, is important in making sure those we love get home safely.

[Yep, that's all you're getting, Nick.]

Please be safe.
[Wow. That was the most confirmation he had gotten so far. So Miles really was taken was he?
He could feel his body tense up as he tried to fully process it.]
I know you'll be able to find him.

[ and he still has the limp to prove it. ]
Why are you unsure that you know any of those that were taken?

Please... I don't think my heart can bare the thought of anything happen to either of you.
I'm counting on you Venom. Make sure you both come back safe.
[He's not tearing up. You are.]

... A good friend of mine didn't return home last night. We live together so I thought it was a bit odd.
[But really Miles could have just been following in the footsteps of all his other roommates. They had a tendency for vanishing.]
What caught my concern though was when his dog arrive by my doorstep the very next day by itself. Miles would never let his dog run around the city on its own.

[ a frown as he clenches his jaw. ]
I know him well enough. He seems an honourable man, and more the pity if something were to happen to him.
[ and as for an attempt of comfort... ]
Do not hold yourself accountable should anything come to pass.

I can't even think of a reason why anyone would wish to take him... He never attempted to insight anything that I could think of.

[ he speaks from experience. ]
It is often those who deserve it the least that suffer the most. I hope for both of your sakes he remains strong.

I can't imagine what it is Miles must be experiencing right now. But I have to believe in those who are brave enough to go out and find him. I have to believe in how strong he is...
[Contemplating the worst only feels as if he would be solidifying the outcome, as ridiculous as that was.]

But of course, there's only so much denial someone can live in, and the post keeps scratching at the back of his mind. He can too easily picture Akane's disappointed expression, and eventually that guilt he was avoiding creeps in anyway.

i can cook
i mean, they'll probably be hungry when someone finds them, right

That's great! I'm not that amazing at it myself but I at least like to think my baking is fairly top notch!
What kind of meals do you usually make? Perhaps we can team up and prepare care packages for those who return! Set up a couple of easy meal plans or something until they're well enough to take care of themselves again.
[You have no idea how relieved he is to get a response. Thank you Kagari.]

what kind of stuff are you thinking for the care packages

Something simple but healthy is probably our best bet. That way it would be quick for us to make a bunch but still help them recover. It would also help in case their constitution is weak.
Definitely something protein heavy would be best though, I'd think.
[Or maybe he's just bias because he's a meat eater at heart.]

[ he cannot help but think of Davos, and what Manderly had done to him. ]
Be that as it may, I hope for your friend's safe return. Be grateful with the knowledge you are not responsible for his position. Others are not so lucky as that.
[ for it was he who sent the only man he might call "friend" to his death. ]

[What a vague and mysterious thing to say. His curiosity is morbidly piqued.]
