[Mipha smiles warmly when the message starts up, before bowing her head politely in greeting] Hello, everyone. I am Mipha. For those who have not met me before, my people are called the Zora and I will be glad to answer your questions; however, I have a question of my own to pose beforehand.

While I was helping to put the fires out, I found a curious list. It listed the following cities: Olympia, Wyver, Stroln, Dranbu, and Nadril, with a red line marking out Nadril. Aside from Olympia and Wyver, do these other names sound familiar at all? I know it's possibly best we all lay low for now, but if anyone makes any inquires and acquires some information, I'd like to know. They may be potential allies to keep in mind.

[You know, should anything continue going south with Wyver and Olympia.

She taps her chin thoughtfully a moment before adding:] While I'm here.. If there's anyone still recovering from the riots and needs healing, please let me know. I know healing magic that can fully heal physical injuries. While I'm residing in Olympia, I'll gladly travel to Wyver to help if I can.

[Another warm smile] That's all. Thank you for your time.

So we've not seen Stroln, Dranbu and Nadril.... Nadril probably doesn't exist anymore by the looks of it..

I've not heard of any of it but I'll keep an eye out and ask without being very upfront about it when the opportunity presents itself. Best not to be too obvious with that information just in case for now.

My knuckles are a pain in the ass when you have a minute and there isn't anyone worse.

[Ah, so this must be the healer Duo was talking about. Mai studies the video a moment before she replies herself.]

Never heard of them really but I wouldn't mind doing a little digging. Once everything settles down anyhow.

[It takes him a moment to actually come up with anything to say or to reply to that message, since her appearance was... well. Outside of what even he was used to. But her voice was gentle enough, and the smile spoke of a personable entity, so after that first shock wore off, he turned on his own device and offered her a smile in return.]

[Introductions aside...]-- I had not heard of these other cities, no, but I am interested in finding out more about them. I've some... concerns about the happenings of late, and knowing more of this land itself might shine a light on that which remains hidden.

I wonder if it was Olympia itself that took them out, or if it was some other means? I suppose it's too much to hope it was something like a natural disaster.

What did you do to your knuckles?

[She looks relieved]

Thank you. The planet looks large, so it's a disservice to all of us to assume Olympia and Wyver are our only options, although they might be the largest settlements, potentially. If war is to break out, there should be somewhere safe for people to go to if they don't want to be involved...

[She listens and nods, looking equal parts sympathetic an apologetic]

Are you one of the newest arrivals? It's been...quite the welcome for them all. It might be hard to believe, but the city used to be very welcoming back when I arrived with the first wave. [She sighs] I'm sorry it's gone downhill so quickly.

I agree with you there. There were a few different people talking about starting our own group and leaving the cities a few months ago. There's a lot we don't know about this world though. The last thing I think we need is to go trekking out into the unknown wilderness, even if there is fighting going on.

[Then again, she'd never considered the option of just going out to look for other towns. She figured they'd eventually surface and smaller towns might not be so welcoming to refugees as bigger cities were. With war not so vaguely looming now though...]

A safer place would be nice. There's no reason we couldn't make some allegiances outside Olympia and Wyver on our own, particularly if we were stealthy enough about it.

Where did you find this information? Was there anything that implicated Olympia in particular?

Could also just be that there's some underground trying to oust them or.. take them out one by one. Think of that bombing that sent us all to Wyver for a little bit.. could still be that kind of thing.

Of course, it could just be Olympia too. Might be why there's such a beef between the two.

Uh... lets just say bare handed fighting isn't great on anyone's hands?

I have heard much the same thing from others who have been here longer. It only makes me more curious what could have changed that tide so quickly.

I found it in the palace while I was trying to save some art and things.

There isn't anything to really implicate Olympia, I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions like that. I was simply speculating, since it was among art studies of the empress that I found them. The stories do talk of that hero of theirs' conquering to unite everyone. But it also seems strange to have their own city listed on here if it was their own doing.

It could be as innocent as a list of important cities just to keep track of them, and marking one that's been wiped out or downsized in some way.

Well finding it amongst that stuff doesn’t necessarily rule out Olympia either. Do you know who “they” is? Or is they Olympia? Sorry I know that’s literally one million questions ...

True. But it makes you wonder about the others we haven’t even seen or heard of yet...

In theory, on the surface, it sounds like a good idea. But there's that, and that it might look hostile for a big group of us to suddenly up and leave to start our own place. While they like and tolerate some of us, I believe it's really just that--tolerance. They will choose their own citizens over us in a heartbeat.

[She sighs softly. The divide is... unfortunate, even if she can see where they're coming from.]

But you're right. This is a way to make us less dependent on just these two cities. If we can find out where they are, it might be wise to send a couple of people out to survey them.

That's the biggest mystery. There were some incidents that required the city to evacuate and seek refuge in Wyver, and that's when tensions began to boil as the two enemy cities were forced to co-exist with each other for a while.

But still, even with that, the level at which this escalated and how quickly is still so strange. I don't think it would be too paranoid to think another party was involved somehow.

Now there's an idea I like. Small group, make an excuse of traveling or studying or something like that. Try not to mix known Olympia people with Wyver people if you can so you don't raise eyebrows from that... it definitely could work.

[She seems to be brewing on this idea herself. After thinking on it a moment, she adds in a tone that suggests it's just a side question with no real bearing on the main topic:]

I haven't heard of any of them.

But, after all, all we know of this planet is this small island. It's logical to assume that there exists much more out there.

[ This girl has such a strange look to her ... But oh, they're talking about new places they haven't seen yet, and this is interesting! ]

No, I haven't heard of those places. They aren't on the map I was given. [ Then again, her map really only showcases Olympia and Wyver, so she shouldn't be surprised. ]

A red line marking out Nadril ...There's probably something interesting to find there!

As one whose been here since the first... wave, as you call it, have you any knowledge or insight into these other cities? This is the first I've heard of any other aside from Olympia and Wyver.

[ This is the first that 76 has heard of nations other than Wyver and Olympia, and that's reason enough for him to be curious, especially given some of the thoughts he's had about tracking down neutral territory. None of the refugees seem to be happy with their situation right now, and that's understandable, given the rioting and the kidnapping and everything else.

He's seen this strange fish-woman (?) around before, though not since he lived in Olympia. She stands out for obvious reasons, and she was among the first of the refugees to wake up on the Station, same as him. ]

While it could mean something sinister, it could just as likely be a list of where artists are found, or who's purchased a portrait, or even something more mundane.

But yes, it makes me wonder too. I suppose they're either not terribly important, or not large enough to be thought of much if no one's ever heard of them before now. All of Olympia and Wyver's stories seem to revolve around each other and don't mention other places.

They could be potential allies for us, if things continue to go south around here.

They wouldn't pay much mind to a couple of refugees traveling more, I think. Perhaps they'd even be relieved. [You know, to get rid of some of them... Sad, but true.] We would have to choose people who presence wouldn't be missed, or whose lack of one wouldn't be questioned.

[She looks a tad surprised by the question, but nods] I am, yes. You know him?

[She shakes her head sadly, looking faintly ashamed]

No, I'm afraid not. In retrospect, this was a rather silly thing to overlook for so long, since we're supposed to be pretending to be refugees from other parts of this planet. But no one ever questioned us too much on where, exactly, we were from and I suppose no one--myself included--felt the need to try and learn more beyond Olympia and Wyver.

Where I'm from, there were only 5 known lands existing on the same continent, so it didn't strike me strange to think that perhaps Olympia and Wyver were the only civilizations large enough for notice or names.

yes, it's just strange that we've been here for so long and never heard much of them, even in passing it seems.

The stories of Olympia and Wyver also seem to focus only on each other, so I assumed that other tribes, civilizations, and so on simply weren't large enough for notice or to be named by the two largest powers.

...Of course, saying they're the largest powers too is an assumption, though it makes sense to think of it that way with the information we have. [Mipha sighs faintly and then smiles.] I was hoping for answers and have instead uncovered even more mysteries to explore.

You have a map? [She feels so stupid now, the thought of asking for maps only just now occurring to her.] There must be world maps available somewhere--if not to the general public, then perhaps the Institute or in the palace they would have people invested in creating the maps...

It's certainly worth looking into. Perhaps we could find new allies, or at the very least discover more about this planet.

This is a new situation for all of us, I would wager. There's to be a learning curve on what exactly is expected of us, as I know I myself wasn't given much to go off of. If there was no need to look for other locations, there is no need to hold oneself accountable for not having done so.

[His attempt to lend a kind word to a face that, despite its differences, looked unhappy with not knowing.]

I suppose we can look at this as a new venture. Better late then never.
