[Kaden fidgets with his device. He’s not quite sure where to point it, but eventually his face appears! And there are his ears, bouncing a little, flicking as he starts to talk.]

Does anyone know where I can find someone named Shura? I was looking all over for her at the gala. Let’s see...she has red hair, she loves food on a stick, she does odd jobs, and she likes talking about socks. Anyone know anyone like that? I owe her for a big favor she did me! See? [He moves the camera to a set of fancy chocolates.] They’re alcohol-filled chocolates! What will they think of next? She's going to love them. [He turns the camera back to himself, beaming.] If you can help me, I’ll owe you a big favor, too. It’s important that I give these to her right away. Thanks!

[But wait! There’s more. He pauses just long enough to segue, his smile fading a little.]

The atmosphere’s a little tense lately, but I don't need to point that out. I was just thinking that I’ve never really been to Olympia, so I should check out what that’s all about, right? So, I’m also looking for a tour guide! If anyone wants to show me all the sights...all the best places to eat, all the best places to nap, and where to find the best tail-brushers...I’d really appreciate it! Doesn’t that sound like a lot of fun? Plus, you get to spend time with me! Kaden!

[Only "Lancer," but yes. Man, this guy's cheer is always contagious. Or maybe Lancer's still just amused at the sock thing. Maybe a little of both!]

She's a hell of a woman. I wouldn't mind spending some more time with her myself. Let me know if you find her, will you? Now, is this the trip down from the moon, or another one?

It was after we got off the boat. I was lost in the forest for a while, but eventually I made it to town...but by then I was starving.

[Lancer is a weird name, but that's okay...Kaden forgives you for that sin.]

I haven't been having much luck. Someone was going to help me, but she wouldn't accept a favor in return, so I couldn't accept her help. It looks like I'm back to square one now.

That's some honor you got there. You refused her for that?

[He says it with a low whistle, like he can't decide whether that's stupid or really awesome of Kaden, or maybe some of both in this case too.]

Unfortunately! I'd have like to have taken her up on it, really. These chocolates are pretty expensive, too.

[Oh, well. It's not like he's going to give up...]

What have you been up to since our boat ride, Lancer? Are you all comfy and settled in?

You could say that! I'd invite you to come give me a visit, but that might not be a great idea, seein' as you almost died in the forest. I've been stayin' on that island we touched down on.

[You know, the one with nothing on it except a few abandoned fishing shacks and pure wilderness. That island. In the video, though he takes up most of the frame, it's possible to see that he is in fact leaning back lazily against a tree trunk outdoors.]

Never been to Olympia myself . . . I should probably check the place out before I get married to this one. Not that getting married's ever stopped me from anything before! But there's bad blood between these two. If you find a tour guide, maybe I'll tag along.

I didn't almost die in the forest, I just forgot to eat. There was a lot going on. I'm still upset that I couldn't drag that fin all the way back to the city.

[It was too big, and he didn't want to stay transformed that long...besides, it would have been all dirty from being left out in the sun and being dragged...a real loss.]

Hey...who needs a tour guide? Wouldn't it be more fun to explore it just the two of us? We can ask someone in town to help us if we get too lost. It'll be like a mini-adventure, only this time without the boat. You can even bring your wife.

[Isn't he generous (and confused?). His ears flick a little. It's a fun, exciting idea, right???]

[It is probably objectively a bad idea, but it's Lancer he's proposing it to, so the odds of either of them realizing that are basically null. Heading to an unknown new location without a guide and just seeing how things go? Fantastic! His only concern here is how good a traveling companion Kaden will be, but eh, never know until you find out. So why the hell not? He grins back.]

That ain't a bad idea. Faster and easier than hiring someone or figuring out who I'm in good with who knows the place already! My wife ain't here, though, so looks like it'll just be you and me, unless we invite anyone else along.

[Kaden's only concern is how soon can it happen? Because, um, he's a fantastic traveling companion? He'll find them both a nice bar and they can both get their tails petted, and....ah, wait, Lancer doesn't have a tail. What a bummer. He'll have to find something else for him to enjoy.]

Let's do it, then! We'll do a little exploring, figure out everything we need to know...ooh, I bet I can find us a nice place to stay, too. I'm sort of an expert when it comes to napping, so I can find the softest beds. It'll be a great trip.

All right, you're on. Truth is, I don't sleep in a lot of soft beds, so I'll leave that part up to you.

[Ironic that of the two of them, Lancer's the one who sleeps on the damn floor or outside like a dog. He'd probably be into a large pet bed.]

What? You don't? Not even with your wife?

[What a sad story. Kaden is moved. Really moved. Alright, he's got to cheer his blue buddy up before he's even bluer.]

Alright, Lancer! I'll find us the nicest, comfiest bed. [Not beds.] Just wait and see! I'll make some arrangements and then we'll both go.

[Someday, not too far from now, Lancer's going to remember this moment and how he totally assumed "bed," singular, was a slip of the tongue, and decided not to press that to confirm.
