oh uh well before this whole storm-eating thing happened my friends and i were trying to stop this evil alien empire from taking over our universe it uh it wasnt easy
[ in the rush and thrill of it all, it was easy to get caught up in things and forget... forget that every time they fought, they put their lives on the line. that not any one of them ever really knew if that next battle will be their last.
now, of course, they were past that. that particular hurdle, at least. who knows what these new universes have in store for them, but at least for now that particular worry isn't quite as immediate. ]
