[ Look who's finally figured out how to use the video feature! Though, admittedly, he's still hesitant about this particular function, and it shows on his face as he sits in front of the camera, looking at the image of himself before he remembers he's making one of these moving picture things. ]

I am aware that, with this relocation, there are many new changes for all of us to grow used to. I'd like, if I can, to make myself available. To anything anyone might need. A job or something similar. Something like that.

[ Gods be, why did he choose to make this a video? This must be the part where he lists his skills and qualifications. As a man who's never had to work a day in his life, his applicable skill, he knows, might be for an acquired profession. ]


If there are hunting parties seeking another member, I'm no stranger to the hunt. I am accomplished tournament knight. I've proven my merit on the battlefield, and I was designated Lord Commander of my king's Rainbow Guard. [ The guard may have been short lived, but even to this day, Loras feels he still holds the position. In his heart of hearts.

There's a long pause. ]

[ Dazai isn't about to shy away from an offer like this when he's low on everything, especially in terms of food. ]

[ Considering the recent string of bad luck going around this over-eager offer is already far too good to be true. There's got to be a hitch in it somewhere, or the Universe might just implode. ]

Would it be too much to expect that you have anything to hunt with?

[ He's not exactly unarmed, but why offer to waste ammunition that isn't easy to come by if he doesn't need to? ]

[ How embarrassing. Loras doesn't even has his sword, and he hadn't thought that it would be an issue. That somehow someone would lend him equipment out of the kindness of their heart. ]

I have some heavy things that need carrying.

[ Byerly spreads the fingers of his hand invitingly. There's a wry smile on his face - he's curious about how far he can push the fellow's knightly agreeableness. ]

[ Manual labour is, by and large, a foreign concept to Loras. And his strength isn't quite what it used to be - though even then, he'd be hard pressed to carry anything heavy. Mostly because he wouldn't want to. ]

I'm afraid I may not be the best choice in the matter.

Whyever not?

[ His smile broadens just a bit. ]

You have marvelously broad shoulders. I can't imagine you aren't good at lifting things.

[triplerose]

They are good for jousting. I am much better practiced at knocking things over.

[ But he does like the flattery. People used to be full of flattering things to say to him, and, if he's honest, he misses it. ]

[vorrutyer]

Ah, is that so?

[ By touches his lower lip, his eyes narrowing very slightly as he watches Loras' face. So he likes compliments, eh? Well. ]

An accomplished tournament knight, you said. I can certainly believe it. What about the sword - I assume you fought with sword?

[triplerose]

Of course. I began training in it since I was old enough to wield a practice sword.

That tends to making hunting a little more difficult!

[ He isn't laughing, per se. But a sound that's halfway between amused and smug does end up stifled along the way.
Thank you Fate, for proving his eternal skepticism right. ]

I mean, unless your hobby is wrestling things into submission with your bare hands?

[ Dazai palms his chin, toeing a thin line between productive conversation and blatant teasing. ]

How exciting. [ A small shrug. ] I'm trained as well, though - I doubt you'd be well impressed by my skills. They're certainly nothing to brag of. Say, could I watch you train sometime?

[triplerose]

I'm sure you're better than you give yourself credit for.

[ A pause. Loras looks a little embarrassed. ]

Regretfully, I haven't got a sword here.

[triplerose]

I have faith that things will work out in my favour.

[ His lips purse. He can tell what's happening here. ]

[vorrutyer]

No? Then we must find you one.

[ Oh, Loras. Sweet summer child. Prepare for another not too pleasant interaction with your favorite ironborn. He smirks, and it's a clear indication that one of his usual cutting remarks is coming. ]

And which false king might that have been?

[ Theon, no. ]

[ Loras presses his lips together. He was just starting to like you, Theon. ]

Renly Baratheon was the rightful king of Westeros.

[triplerose]

Would it be as easy as that?

[vorrutyer]

I would say so. Oh, you'd have to slap down a pretty pile of silver for a good one, but - why not? There are worse things for silver to go to.

[triplerose]

Silver is something I find myself lacking in.

[ From sapphire encrusted armor to nothing, what a tragedy. ]

[vorrutyer]

Ah, the impoverished nobility. That's a life I know well.

[reek]

[ That's usually how it goes. Theon is capable of getting along well with others for awhile, but then he makes a remark that bruises or cuts just a little too deep and it puts him two steps back once more.

He chuckles. ]

The North would have never supported him. Nor the ironborn.

[ He knows the same to be true of Robb, though. The south would have never accepted Robb's independent claim on the North, and even Balon refused his attempts at an alliance. Westeros was truly ripping itself apart long before the Storm. ]

The North would not have suffered for it. Renly would have been kind, even in the face of Stark's attempted treason.
