She speaks frantically while she works, pen flying over paper. Trying to make sense of -- anything.]

They say it's coming and can't be stopped. What I saw in the Observation Room corroborates. The stars are being devoured. I feel it. Breathing on the back of my neck. Its fingers in my hair.

But if there was a way to avoid it before, it can be avoided again. The nebulous ominous it.

I need more time.

I guess, what I mean to say is that I may be just that person to have made a spontaneous and impulsive decision upon suddenly facing my own mortality, and... well...

Does anyone know of anybody who has skills in officiating weddings!? I know there have been a few ceremonies with us Thessans in the past but I really don't know anyone who can do this! So any help in trying to figure this all out I would super appreciate it!

Hellooooooo everyone!

It's January, and you know what that means-- February is next month! Which means... Valentine's Day is right around the corner!

Last year, we had a really fun time all having, um, a fun series of, uh-- you know-- dates! A lot of people met each other and there was great food and drink and everything like that.

So, I'm gonna do it again! I've set up the boxes in Olympia and Wyver again, so drop your names in for a great Valentine's Dinner!

I've heard that sometimes people fall asleep again. When they wake up they don't remember anything, but sometimes it's like they remember even more things than before? How does that work? I thought that our worlds were gone...

[The man in frame isn't actually quite in frame. He has the device propped against something and the camera is in his direction, but his roommate is out and he doesn't quite have the angle right.

What is in view is the bottom half of his face -- the frame cuts off a little below the lower half of his sunglasses -- and most of his torso. When he talks, he doesn't address the camera at all.]

It's come to my attention over the past month or so of being here that a lot of us from different places. Now that does sound like an obvious statement, but hear me out a moment.

For instance, my roommate knew me when we first met. He'd known me at home, but I had never met him. Or you meet someone almost the same as someone you knew from home, but with some key differences. It's happened a few times now and I'm just curious as to whether anyone else has experienced this phenomenon?

So. I'm still figuring a lot of this. Being kinda newer here and all. I'm not sure dragons are new, are real, here exactly, but back home dragons and that sort of thing were just stories, outside of maybe being similar to dinosaurs and lizards? So them actually being real is new to me.

Like there being no walkers. Or -- zombies? Whatever people want to call it when the dead don't stay dead and try bite and infect you too. It started when I was about eight, almost nine. Pretty sure everyone was -- is infected. So. I guess what I'm saying is that if something does happen to me, someone has to kill me before I turn. Or if any of the people I know from home, if they wake up. If something happens to them. We can't let that happen here. I don't want to put everyone here through that.

Which, kind of still related to the walker thing, I don't suppose anyone has recommendations for sleeping better? Nightmares kinda get old. I haven't had a chance yet to figure what might be available. If anything.

[All of this is....well, it's a lot, suddenly finding herself here. She still has so many questions, and is still figuring her way around and all yet to be entirely settled in exactly. But maybe, given time, she might get there. Eventually. If she could ever actually adjust to things. To there being no walkers, mostly. This barely scratches the surface, but it's a start?

[The video feed shows one Diana Cavendish seated at a desk, covered with large books, some open. She has some dark bags under her eyes; it looks like she hasn't been sleeping well for the past few days.

She glances at the two figures next to her-- you may recognize them as Jim Kirk and Juno Steel-- and then back at the camera.] The issues regarding the forest of Dranbu-- the disappearances and transformations-- should be resolved. The root cause was a powerful fey spirit of the forest who called herself Barthala. She claimed that this land, the island of El Nysa, was in grave danger, and that she had summoned and kept people within the confines of her forest so that she could use her power to protect them.

[Jim adds,] The fact that she meant well doesn't strictly excuse everything, but she did agree to release everyone. She understands now that removing free will isn't something we appreciate.

[Diana glances back at Kirk and nods.] Correct. I don't doubt that many of us will be upset by her actions, and have legitimate grievances, but there may be a need to move past them for the time being.

Barthala indicated that it had been the rampage of the fell dragon Ysverai that had woken her from her slumber, though she didn't know how long she'd been sleeping. [A pause.] More importantly, she is not the only one of her kind. There were once four other spirits of the land, which we can only assume are still dormant.

[Juno nods,] Barthala told us they were in each of the regions here: Olympia, Wyver, Nadril, Dranbu, and Khalo and mentioned that some of the old legends might give us some clue as to what might wake them up.

[Diana gestures to the tomes on the desk in front of her, adding with a dry tone,] Thus far, our research hasn't turned up much, but I imagine many of us working together can find the information faster than just the three of us.

Barthala seemed to be at least vaguely familiar with the Natha and the concept of the Storm, and is keen on not having the planet destroyed, [[Jim says.] We don't know the identity or temperaments of the other deities, how it would be possible to rouse them, or even if it's a good idea to do so.

But they exist and it's probably a good idea to learn all we can about them, and about the way the planet was before the Orbiters showed up. That said-- we're hoping everyone's turned back up, and if not, say something so we can organize a wider search party or see if we can get a hold of Barthala again.

[Juno adds,] Whatever information anyone here can bring to the table is gonna be to our benefit: on the history, the land, all that good stuff. The sooner we can hit the ground running with our investigation into these sleeping gods and goddesses, the better. It's going to give us an advantage against this danger that's hanging over our heads.

[Diana reaches out to touch the camera.] If anyone knows anything-- or has heard anything at all-- about Barthala or the other four spirits of this island, please let us know immediately. Otherwise, I think we all have some research to do.

[The video feed that opens up on Law has a bit of a jarring background of metal and glowing screens, a sight many will recognize as the stasis pods aboard Thesa Station. He's taken an excursion in the midst of everyone's weird forest adventure. He's sitting now on the floor of the chamber, back up against one of the control panels to the pods. It's an especially odd place to be, because if you squint you'll notice that there's a chair within view of where he's sat, yet he's still chosen to remain on the cold metal floor.

He doesn't actually speak right away, simply staring blankly at the feed as if he'd turned it on as an afterthought. When he does speak, it's with a heavy bitterness as if he's been wronged in some way. As far as he's concerned, he has been, but he's certainly not going to speak openly about that.]

Do you ever think maybe we're all dead and this is actually hell? I've been thinking about it and I think it explains a lot about our situation.

[Anyone who's met Law before knows that his resting state is looking vaguely tired. Today is different. This isn't even the sleep deprived tiredness he'd had when he was working overtime tending to the injured months ago in the aftermath of the dragon. No, this is something different, an emotional exhaustion, manifesting as a redness around the eyes rather than just his usual dark circles.

Greetings. As you know, construction on the rail tunnels has been underway for some time now. However, we seem to have run into a bit of a... snag.

[ She steeples her fingers, her expression grave. ]

At first, I believed that perhaps some of the workers had merely abandoned their work. But it has happened too many times now to be a coincidence. Each time we send people to expand the tunnels closer to Josa Forest, they simply vanish.

[ Her lip curls at the thought of it. ]

Until this is resolved, the expansion of the rail tunnels cannot proceed. It would be in both our best interests if you were willing to look into this for us... What do you say? Can I count on your assistance?

Sure have been a bunch of people going back to sleep lately, huh.

[Sora's usually a pretty upbeat kind of kid, and he's trying to not to look glum as he sits in a notably empty shack in Wyver.]

Sorry, I know a lot of people have already said that, I don't wanna sound like a broken record or anything. If anyone's been trying to get hold of Terra lately, he went back to sleep and it doesn't look like he's planning on waking up again anytime soon.

[That had been a sad discovery. While he's glad his new friend doesn't have to be awake and missing his friends anymore, it doesn't mean Sora doesn't miss him. He hasn't know him for very long, but in that short time he had been a good friend.

And on that thought... he takes a deep breath before adding:]

And Riku's sleeping again too, but I'm sure he's gonna wake up again real soon. You know Riku, he's never out of the picture for too long! He'll be awake again before anyone even misses him.

[Well that's just a lie, Sora misses him already.]

I just... y'know. Thought people should know.

[And then he forces a big smile onto his face as if he's not feeling completely alone and sad and tries to change the subject. Distraction tactic? What distraction tactic.]

Hey, it's not long to go 'til Halloween! Does anyone know where to get a good pumpkin from? It's not a proper Halloween without a pumpkin!
